The final gold dollar to be issued at the Charlotte mint. Approximately 5,235 pieces were produced with an estimated 250 pieces surviving today, mostly in grades of XF and lower. Weakly struck as is always seen on this issue with even wear touching the highest points, however the remaining detail is considerably bold for a lightly circulated example from the Charlotte Mint. Uniform sunny-golden coloration presents throughout with touches of retained mint luster shimmering in the protected areas.

Overall a high-end example of this desirable C-Mint issue, a noteworthy offering for the branch mint enthusiast.
